Our Client

Benjamin.jpg

Philip, Benjamin, PhD.

Our client, Dr. Philip, is an occupational therapist in Neurology and Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He has a clinical focus on the functional rehabilitation of PNI patients. Research of his Neuroscience and Rehabilitation Laboratory focuses on the post-injury impacts on the unilateral-specific and life-relevant factors.

His lab has revealed that tactile sensory on the fingertip is a unique and significant contributor to health-related quality of life for PNI patients among 10 other measures of capacity using regression analysis (Thompson et. al, 2019). Thus, by assessing tactile sensory loss in the fingertips, the physicians can learn about the patient’s quality of life and further evaluate his or her recovery through rehabilitation.
